There is something special about colder seasons. The Hygge feeling ( The little book of Hygge: the Danish way to live well is a must read to happily survive the cold ) makes these months of the year cosy and enjoyable. For many autumn is all about pumpkins decoration and pumpkin spice everything, crunchy leaves, bonfire and candles, but for me it is more about all the sweaters I can finally take out of the closet! Fall fashion is my favorite, it gets me more and more excited every year and that’s the reason why I thought I could share my excitement by showing you a few ideas on how I usually style knitwear throughout the season.
I love slip dresses (similar here and on sale! Mine is also from ASOS but currently sold out), they are by now my summer go-to outfit, I find them so easy and comfortable to wear, while they keep their coolness and elegance. As soon as summer ends I start layering them and the easiest way, when you’re not ready to say goodbye, is by putting on a sweater.
For the casual days I simply like to style a pop sweater with a pair of kick flare jeans and some sneakers. I find the well known Alberta Ferretti “Rainbow Week” capsule collection of seven wool and cashmere sweaters, each dedicated to a day of the week, cool and funny and I like that the one I’m wearing kind of reminds me that joyful mood (similar here, affordable here).
Aside the comfy days, I like to play girly most of the time. As you surely know check-patterns are a massive trend this season and one of my favorites. I styled this checkered skirt from Zara with a basic black high neck sweater from COS and black knee boots to give more emphasis to the item.
Have fun with it and choose the style that best suits you and your personality!
