WHY CO-ORDS ARE SO COOL AND EASY

May 10, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci 2 Comments

It doesn’t matter whether they are current trends or not: since brands will continue producing and selling them, sets will always be timeless and indispensable items. Co-ords are two pieces made to stick together, one mirroring the other. At the same time they can, of course, be styled separately. For this particular reasons, sets are suitable for any woman, mood and situation, are easy to wear and versatile. Cooler and grittier, less constricting than the classic party dresses.
Whether you want to combine a boyish blazer with a skirt, or a top with wide leg pants, or vice versa, the important thing is that an item, in color, fantasy and fabric, is complementary to the other. Perfect to dress down with a pair of sneakers or enriched with girly heels and statement accessories, a strong look is assured. Try and find out that nothing is simpler than opting for a coordinated, monochromatic look when you don’t know what to wear.

THE ABSTRACT FACE EARRINGS

March 19, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci No Comments

From the top left. Earrings from Paola Vilas, Delfina Delettrez, Mango, Nina Kastens, JW Anderson.

Abstract and stylized faces forged in the metal. Both gold and silver, sometimes enriched with a pop touch to give freshness and personality. I think this is the cutest trend ever, these earrings recall the beautiful faces drawn by Picasso and Matisse and since I’m a big big big admirer of the two artists my excitement is clear.

So now the only thing to do is to choose the female face that we like the most and that most reflects us, so we will always have an alter ego to be our companion while on the go.

Which is your favorite pair? Do you already own one?

CÉLINE FALL/WINTER 2018

March 11, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci 4 Comments

Since spring is still delaying (ugh!), it doesn’t feel inappropriate to share some of the beautiful outfits of the next fall/winter season collection, the last one that sees Phoebe Philo as the Céline creative director.
The femininity and elegance that Phoebe has been able to convey with her vision is among the reasons why, over the years, Céline has become one of my favorite brands, perhaps the one and the only that really keeps me amazed every time.

Céline esthetic represents everything that a woman should have in her wardrobe; basic, monotone, just apparently simple, but never boring or banal pieces. There’s always that detail that makes an item unique and precious. The lengths, the cuts, the combinations of neutral colors are just perfect and the message that transpires from the fabrics and from the products is that of a strong, self-confident woman, who doesn’t need to overdo to be noticed.

I am honestly curious to see what Hedi Slimane will keep and change of the French maison; meanwhile we can appreciate this gorgeous last Phoebe collection.
