NYFW | THE ROW FALL WINTER 18/19

February 13, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci No Comments

It’s no exaggeration to say The Row is one of the most established and appreciated brands in the fashion industry by now. I personally love it for the straight lines, the oversized shapes and the monochromatic looks, that never ever result boring. Those that seem to be simple outfits, are actually pieces studied in detail, able to make any woman feel elegant.
For this New York Fashion Week presentation, the Olsen twins set up their space downtown with the sculptures of Isamu Noguchi, a Japanese artist. Here The Row‘s hyper-sophisticated style manifests itself with elongated and essential shapes, neutral and versatile color palettes and prestigious materials such as silk, cashmere, corduroy, velvet and organza.
I am now looking forward to spring, but these masterpieces always remind me of why I enjoy winter wear so much.

LISBON DIARY | LOOKS

February 10, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci No Comments

When I want to take pictures of my outfits, location scouting is my first priority. A good outfit won’t be valued right if combined with a wrong background and, vice versa, a more simple outfit can become something really cool when the surroundings are eyes- and picture-worthy. Of course sharing interesting pictures become easier while traveling, but unfortunately we cannot live on a fast, nomad lane 365 a year. So with small precautions and good taste, even staying in your hoods will make your shots very hip. Generally talking, we may divide the background types in two groups: either I choose a place that has the same color palette as my outfit (as in the first picture below) or I just go for some color block contrast (this looks better with white, black or denim attires, just to avoid a messy result).

Two days, two looks. The weather was really nice but a little too windy at times, so the first day I wore an ASOS baker boy hat, with and old light blue animalier faux fur from Zara. The flare jeans are from Noisy May.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed I have a serious thing for colorful parisian inspired doors and I enjoy posing with them (like here, in actual Paris). In fact, as I just said, the second day I took advantage of an almost total black outfit to pose with this beautiful red door. Red is my favorite color, so how could I resist not standing in front of it?
The oversized coat is from Paper, the beautiful snake print bag from & Other Stories.

LISBON DIARY | PLACES

February 8, 2018 by Beatrice Trinci No Comments

A few weeks later I’m finally sharing with you some pictures of the places I visited during my two-days trip to Lisboa.
Lisbon is a small and welcoming city, which allows travelers to walk around and see all the main districts and attractions in 48 hours. The most charming way to tick off a few places from the map is by jumping on the wooden Tram 28, that rumbles through Lisbon’s cutest streets and historic districts. Starting from the hills of the colorful Alfama, the tram continues its route through the shopping districts of Baixa before reaching Bairro Alto.

All the neighborhoods you encounter during the ride gather many different city attractions; the main ones are: the São Jorge Castle and the Miradouro de Santa Luzia in the Alfama; the Elevador da Bica, the cutest restaurants and the shopping district in the Bairro Alto. Off the 28 line, there’s still a district you have to visit, which is the Belém district, rich in museums and botanical gardens. Here you will find the gothic, medieval Belém Tower and the Moistero dos Jerónimos.

Have you ever been to Lisbon before? How did you like it?
Is there something I missed during my visit? Tchau!
